Specifications include, but are not limited to: ➢ The area of work is defined by the columns at the base of the two open stairs leading to a landing and the up to the Third floor. The walls on either side of the stairs, the exterior wall with the stained-glass windows and the stairs surrounding the open rotunda on the Third floor are all original plaster. The area of work also includes the rounded ceiling up to the rotunda tower. Areas are broken down to the following for pricing. 1. Stairs – the area starting at the column at Second floor (main entrance floor) to the column edge on Third floor. 2. Third Floor – the area above the wainscot up to the underside of the rotunda tower. 3. Alternate 1 Rotunda Tower – the full tower from the crown molding to the top of the rotunda. ➢ Repair all areas of minor cracking, peeling, and flaking. This is most visible on either side of the open stairs leading up to the Third floor as well as more significant peeling and flaking are visible where the ceiling caps at the rotunda tower. ➢ Repairs to match existing finish, which is a sand finish. ➢ Crown Molding will not be included in this scope as it will be included in the decorative paint. ➢ Final paint color will be determined prior to the work commencing. The paint type and sheen will be Sherwin William Interior Super Paint in a Satin Finish. ➢ Prep and paint the supply and return grills with the same wall color. ➢ All scaffolding, ladders and equipment will be supplied by the selected contractor and included in the price. Contractor must take special care as to not damage the existing flooring. ➢ Contractor is responsible for all paint, supplies and materials needed to complete the work. ➢ It is the contractor’s responsibility to maintain a clean jobsite and allow a path of egress while the work is in progress. ➢ No work will be permitted during Council, Planning & Zoning and other public meetings after hours. If after hours work is required, the County will require a minimum of 2 business days’ notice before it can be approved. Dates will be provided upon Award.
