Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.11.1 All Poultry Goods must be processed, handled, packaged, and labeled in accordance with the FDA Poultry Products Inspection Act and its regulations. 4.11.2 Bulk packed, vacuum packed, or instant quick frozen (IQF) case packs accepted 4.11.3 Only U.S. Procurement Grade B or better will be accepted for all line items in this ITB. 4.11.3.1 UTILITY GRADE MEAT PRODUCTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED FOR ANY GOODS INDICATED IN THIS ITB. 4.11.4 Mechanically separated chicken (comminuted or desinewed) or shredded Goods WILL NOT be accepted. 4.11.5 Goods may be injected with a solution injection to enhance performance, freshness and safety. Injected solution must be no greater than 15% and in accordance with the USDA Food Safety Inspections Service (FSIS) requirements. 4.11.5.1 Goods containing monosodium glutamate (MSG) or water injected will not be accepted. 4.11.6 Ice glaze Goods WILL NOT be accepted 4.11.7 Catch Weight cases WILL be allowed for all line items indicated in this ITB. 4.11.1.1 Good(s) MUST meet the requirements as outlined in USDA Commercial Item Description (CID) A-A-20276A (click on CID hyperlink for full description) 4.11.1.6.1 Style A – whole muscle; Type b – 100% white meat; Skin type (2) – without skin; Form 2 – no breading; No seasoning – Unflavored - Unmarinated 4.11.1.2 Good(s) may be cooked or uncooked 4.11.1.3 Fat content MUST be 2% or less 4.11.1.4 Good(s) with bones or cartilage will not be allowed 4.11.1.5 Sodium content to be no more than 90 mg per 1 ounce-weight 4.11.1.6 Good(s) must be from breast or tenderloins 4.11.1.7 Chicken cut MUST comply with the size requirement of minimum 0.5 inch width x minimum 1.0 inch in length, and may be regular or irregular cuts 4.11.1.7 Manufacturer Salvaged Goods or Manufacturer Seconds will be allowed for this line item 4.11.1.8 Good(s) must be gluten-free; good(s) containing wheat-based ingredients will not be accepted
