Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Sumner Stormwater Improvements project is Phase II of an overall stormwater infrastructure project located generally east of Walnut Street and crossing Grove Street, E. 2nd Street, E. 1st Street, and Columbia Avenue, from a detention basin system constructed in 2020 (Phase I) in the NE quadrant of the City to the Little Wapsipinicon River. This proposed storm water conveyance system is necessary for the detention basins to function properly. In addition, the proposed storm water improvements will relieve local flooding in neighborhoods along the drainageway. The construction improvements include the construction of approximately 1,074 LF of 54” RCP storm sewer, 226 LF of 6’x4’ RCBC, 451 LF of Twin 6’x4’ RCBC, 163 LF of Twin 8’x4’ RCBC, RCBC end sections, 55 LF of 8” sanitary sewer, lift station construction, 1,424 SY of full depth pavement patch, 415 TON of Class A driveway surfacing, sanitary sewer gravity and forcemain construction, submersible lift station construction, water main lowering, and sidewalk and driveway replacement. Other associated improvements include temporary traffic control, mobilization, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project.
