Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Detector Design: The PRD must be of a design that meets National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) or other accreditation program in accordance with American National Standards Institute, Standard N13.11-2009, Personal Dosimetry Performance Criteria for Testing. • Badge Design: a. PRD must include; the HSEM logo, wearer number or ID, start and expiration dates, and department contact phone number or address. The department logo will be provided to the Contract Vendor. b. All copy for imprinting shall be approved by the HSEM prior to production. • Storage and Use: PRDs are issued as needed in response to an emergency event (when a declared radiological event occurs at a nuclear generating plant in Minnesota). The PRDs will be stored until such an event occurs. Effective PRD expiration period will be every two to three years or per manufacturer’s recommendations whichever is longer. • Active Date: Active date to be determined by HSEM.
