Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Algona is accepting sealed bids for leases of farmland at the Algona Municipal Airport. There is approximately 151 tillable acres; 61.96 CRP pollinator acres for an income of $18,588 annually paid to lessee; 5.52 CRP acres for an annual income of $891 paid to lessee; and 5.92 acres for hay. No organic farming will be allowed. The lessee shall use the dedicated farm entrances to access the row crop/CRP areas and the lessee shall not leave the established row crop/CRP areas for safety reasons. The lessee shall not be allowed to enter or cross airfield infrastructure, including but not limited to the grass runway, paved runway, grass taxiway, paved taxiways, apron pavement, taxi lanes and the entrance road.
