Specifications include, but are not limited to: Work shall include installation of plastic drainage pipe to drain approximately 80 acres of farmland. The work will include drainage laterals, sub main tiles, and main tiles. The tile main will have 1 gravel road crossing. Preliminary tile design as shown under the Attachments Tab. Successful bidder shall assist with final tile design Laterals: Approximately 58,0000 feet perforated 4-inch corrugated plastic drain tile (depending on final design layout) laid at approximately 3.5 - 4 feet (±.25 feet) depth. Laterals should be spaced on 60’ spacing intervals following the land contours. Tile depth and grade to follow industry best practices. Laterals are shown in magenta on preliminary design. Require design to meet a minimum of ½ inch/day drainage coefficient (DC) Laterals be designed on the contour, where possible and as appropriate (aerial image/map provided under Attachments Tab shows an example of a potential layout) Target bottom of pipe depth at 3.5-4 feet Sub mains: Approximately 2400’ length, depending on final design layout.
