Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Kingsport includes general government services and a K-12 school system. The governmental services include Police, Fire, Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water and Wastewater System Maintenance, Garbage Collection, Street Maintenance, Demolition Landfill, Fleet Maintenance, Building Maintenance and Custodial Services, Public Transportation, Traffic Maintenance, Engineering and general administrative departments. The school system is comprised of one high school, two middle schools, 10 elementary schools, education transportation services (school buses), building/grounds maintenance, early childhood learning centers, alternative school locations and central office locations. Each school has a cafeteria.
