Specifications include, but are not limited to: Install a hardwired combo Carbon Monoxide and Smoke Alarm with voice alarm announcing the hazard type, a large test/hush button and 10 year warantied battery backup with a low battery warning, such as the First Alert AC10-500. Smoke Alarm shall have a Photoelectric Sensor. Units shall be interconnected with a wireless system such as Bluetooth. Alarms must be installed at least 36" the supply registers of a forced air HVAC system, no closer than 36" from Bathroom doors, at least 20' from permanent cooking appliances. If installed on a sloped ceiling the Alarm must be located between 4" and 36" from the peak. Wall mounted Alarms must be located between 4" and 12" from the ceiling. There must be a Alarm on every level, one inside every bedroom and one in the hallway outside bedrooms (in sleeping areas). If there is an attached garage, an Alarm must be placed near the garage entry. Alarms will not be installed near combustion appliances. Confirm that the Alarms are interconnected. Tear down chimney to below lowest point on roof. Rebuild chimney using new 4" thick solid bricks without cored holes. Color of brick to match existing as closely as possible. Chimney to a height required by the state building code. Install roof flashing, chimney cap and terra cotta flue liner. After peeling back roofing at between the garage and main house to accept a 2"x8" anchor plate, install or sister roof rafters to correct roof deflection to at least a 4/12 pitch. Replace chimney flashing and plumbing vents, through a 1/2" plywood roofing deck. Lay a 215 lb. fiberglass/ asphalt roof with ridge and soffit vents, drip edge all along sheath gable ends, and install vinyl siding flashing. provide a per sheet plywood replacement cost below.
