Specifications include, but are not limited to: The bituminous material shall be Liquid Asphalt Blend. When prepared from a base asphalt stock either AC-10, AC-2000, AR-4000, 85-100 penetration or 120-150 penetration, and blended. The formula shall be in the 5.0 to 8.0 percent range for a job mix. COMPOSITION OF MIXTURE - Modifications in the graduation of the aggregate and for the amount of bitumen in the mix may be made to obtain optimum placing and finishing characteristics. However, these modifications shall be made only when approved or directed by the City Engineer and/or Director of Public Works. Any modification approved or directed will be made at no change in the unit prices stated in the proposal. Requests for material samples may be made prior to bid award for evaluation of product to meet bid specifications.
