Specifications include, but are not limited to: Awarded responder will provide Alert and notification system to be used on the Ames DOT complex (Ames DOT complex ONLY) in case of fire alarm, severe weather, and/or active shooter emergencies utilizing text and/or emails to employees. Software will be set up on DOT provided equipment, a required safety audit on software chosen will be performed. The notification system will be connecting to an existing Notifier system installed in 2015 – 2016. Responders should provide information about the system with details about how your product will meet the requirements and any of the optional topics listed below. Responder should address the following items in your response to assist the Iowa DOT in understanding the functionality of your existing product. Also provide a list of current users of your product with contact information. Responder to explain how their product meets or exceeds the following baseline functionality. Required Functions: Text and email notifications to a selected group of users (up to 1000) Ability to add and manage user contacts manually or via import from existing programs such as Excel Boxed messages for fire alarm, active shooter and sever weather events. Messaging is not required to be specific to Iowa DOT. Training on setting up users and how to use the system. Maintenance and support of software, describe your maintenance process, for example, how are updates provided etc. Live customer support. Fail safe features in case of power and WIFI outages.
