Specifications include, but are not limited to: Louisville Metro is seeking an experienced consultant to work in a facilitative manner with County, State and local elected and appointed justice system partners and the Louisville Metro Criminal Justice Commission in assessing and recommending a local corrections strategy inclusive of formal criminal justice proceedings and community-based responses. This project is intended to result in a shared understanding of the state of the current system, how well it functions and how it might be improved. The process will be informed by reviewing data on community characteristics, the characteristics of the offender population, the detention and program resources currently available, and the adequacy of the current resources for effectively managing the offender population necessary toreduce recidivism and optimize system effectiveness
