Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide labor and material services for routine fire sprinkler system maintenance/repair at all Dakota County facilities. Required Service Call Response Times: • Low – service when able • Medium – service within 1 work week • High – service within 1 day • Emergency – service immediately Important Notes • Most work will be done outside of the building’s business hours unless designated by Dakota County Facilities Management. • Material mark-up will be assessed on an estimated $10,000 cost per year of material to be provided on this contract. • Current locations and systems detailed below. Contractor must be capable of servicing all listed equipment or coordinate service at their expense. Labor rates and material mark-up will remain consistent regardless of subcontracting limitations of the contractor. The contractor will be responsible for paying any subcontractor hired. Dakota County will only accept invoices from the contract holder. • This is a contract for one year with a possibility of extension for additional years up to a maximum of 3 years. • In your submittal, include your hourly rates and time frames for daytime hours, nighttime hours, weekend hours, holiday hours, and travel/truck charges. Please include this information for three years (2024, 2025, and 2026). • Invoicing by the contractor will need to be broken down into line items for labor, trip charges, materials, and subcontracting costs. If materials need to be purchased, include a separate line for the material if it is over $500. • If the contracting company is unable to complete the work in one trip, the contractor will red-tag the fire system with the FM Global red-tags provided. • Being awarded this contract does not guarantee being awarded other contracts with the county (Fire Alarm Inspections, Chemical Suppression Inspections, etc.).
