Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Sewer connection will be capped at the foundation wall and inspected by the appropriate departments prior to demolition. 2. All appliances, tires, batteries, furnace and other recyclables found in the building must be transported to the AVRRDD Recycling Center on Route 110 in Berlin. (City will pay tipping fees) 3. The contractor shall have salvage rights to any and all items on the site. 4. Building will be demolished in a safe and orderly way and comply with all State and Federal regulations. 5. All building debris will be removed from the site and transported to AVRRDD Mt. Carberry in appropriate trucks/trailers/containers. (City will pay tipping fees) 6. The Cellar/foundation walls will be pushed in/demolished to a level (3) three feet below the grade line and two holes measuring at least 9 square feet must be punched through the concrete floors of the cellar. 7. The cellar will be backfilled to the existing grade line with suitable sand/gravel fill (no clay products) and compacted in 2-foot lifts as part of the overall quote. 8. The area around the building will be policed for any demolition debris or other items that need to be disposed of. 9. The total area disturbed shall be covered with 4 inches of loam, seeded and covered with hay as part of the overall quote. 11. During the course of the demolition project, the contractor must practice dust control by wetting down the building and its debris during the active part of demolishing the building and loading the debris onto the transport vehicles.
