Specifications include, but are not limited to: Project: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Full-Service Preventive Maintenance, Support and replacement batteries as needed for use with various UPS systems. Service coverage listed must include 100% parts, labor, travel, and on-site time for both remedial and emergency repairs, with the exception of battery and full string capacitor replacements. Service/Repairs must be made during normal business hours with the option of after-hours replacement when needed. Individual failed capacitors must be covered under the terms of this agreement. KUMC reserves the option to add additional UPS systems equipment or remove units no longer in service as needed. Preventative Maintenance (PM) for UPS systems and batteries must be performed annually. PM after action reports shall be provided within 10 business days of the completed service. Annual Inspection includes the following: Measure and Record: System Voltage, Voltage of each cell/unit, AC ripple voltage, DC float current, Representative cell temperature, Internal conductance. Clean cells as needed, perform detailed visual inspection, Torque 100% of bolted battery connections. Inspect rack and torque rack bolts, Submit written report. Meet with appropriate KUMC staff after each inspection to explain all information obtained from inspections. For items not covered under a PM and support contract (i.e., emergency battery replacement), provide any applicable T&M shop rates. KUMC reserves the option to add additional UPS systems equipment or remove units no longer in service as needed. Access to 24x7 emergency customer support line in case of UPS outage or alarm to diagnose condition. If it is determined that a repair technician is needed because of imminent or complete failure of the UPS, the technician must be on-site within a 4-hour period unless other arrangements are agreed upon. Vendor must have access to all replacement parts covered under the agreement. Parts that might contribute to an outage/emergency must be available on-site within 4 – 24 hours of diagnosis unless other arrangements are agreed upon. If the agreed timeline is not met, a penalty of $150.00 for each day thereafter, Sundays and holidays included, will be assessed while the work remains uncompleted. Modular Units – 1 OEM Replacement power module; 1 OEM RIM and MIM (for failed for bad power modules) per unit/year. Additional replacement modules will be provided at the customer’s expense.
