Specifications include, but are not limited to: CONFIGURATION 2.2.1 A matching pair (2) of devices which can be transported as a single trailer. Devices must be identical with lead and secondary unit being interchangeable for towing. Any hitches, safety chains or other required hardware is to be included/provided. Units must be able to be safely towed as a single or paired set at up to 65 miles per hour with no sway. No tandem towing allowed. 2.2.2 Devices must be portable, be able to set up and torn down, manually deployed, and be operated by a single person of a medium build, requiring no special equipment. All leveling jacks and towing equipment must be able to be stored on units for both travel and deployment. 2.2.3 Devices must have a signal head that has both red and amber 12-inch diameter signals. 2.2.4 Devices must have a removable sign, “STOP HERE ON RED” with arrow with a minimum size of 24 inches by 30 inches. 2.2.5 The battery system must be adequate for the system to operate a minimum of 48 hours without recharging. Devices must be equipped with solar panels to aid in battery charging and must also be equipped with 120-volt plug-in chargers. 2.2.6 Operation will be controlled by a rechargeable, weatherproof wireless remote. Units must have the ability to manually return to transport mode without the use of the remote. 2.2.7 Devices must utilize a reflective stop arm in conjunction with signal lights to direct traffic. Stop arm must be of an easily resettable “breakaway” design and be a minimum of 70 inches long. 2.2.8 Fenders must be installed over tires. 2.2.9 Devices must have readily available replacement parts. 2.3 ELECTRICAL and LIGHTING - 2.3.1 A standard 7 pin RV style connector is required to make light connection to the back of the tow vehicle. 2.3.2 All devices must be equipped with the following lights, • Two red, stop/turn/taillights. • Two red side marker lights with reflex reflectors at the rear on the side. The side marker lights and reflex reflectors on the rear must be red and can be incorporated in the taillight assembly above if they are visible from the side of the trailer. The lights should be mounted as far as practical to the outside edge of the trailer and as far as practical to the rear of the trailer.
