Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnishing a complete and operable Grit Removal System. The Grit Removal System will consist of a Vortex Grit Separator to be installed inside a new concrete chamber, a Grit Pump, a Grit Washer, and a control system that will also operate an existing Grit Classifier already in service. Scope should include all submittals, spare parts, closeout documentation, shop testing, and field services as required per the project specifications. Please refer to specification section 11320 – Grit Removal System as well as the Tighe & Bond Design Drawings included in Exhibit 3.1 to this RFP. Please note, this project is exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of Maine on all materials to be incorporated into the work. This project is also subject to AIS requirements, please refer to the 800B SRF Supplemental Conditions included in the Prime Contract, Exhibit 3.3 to this RFP. Line items are to include the following: P-003.01: Grit Removal System • Furnish complete Grit Removal System per the project specifications including: o Vortex Grit Separator, Grit Pump, Grit Washer, and Control Panels P-003.02: Field Services • Provide on-site services of a factory trained representative per the equipment specifications to provide equipment inspections, supervision of commissioning and startup, and to perform operator training per the project specifications. P-003.03: Supply Bond • Furnish supply bond equal to the full agreement amount per the Purchase Agreement Documents. General • This project is exempt from payment of sales and compensating use taxes of the State of Maine on all materials to be incorporated into the work. • This project is subject to SRF American Iron and Steel requirements for all material to be incorporated into the project.
