Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Prospective Contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to repair six (6) rental cabins at Petit Jean State Park for the purpose of correcting extreme fire hazards and to comply with IRC and NFPA 211 standards and codes for fireplace and wood heating devices. B. Prospective Contractor should be CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) certified and NFI (National Fireplace Institute) certified. C. Prospective Contractor shall purchase and install four (4) Buck Stoves, Model 74 in cabins 1, 6, 7 and 12. 1. Specifications for the Buck Stove 74 are: a. Stove Dimensions: 21-1/2” H x 27-5/8” W x 22-3/8” D b. Stove Weight: 460 lbs. c. Cubic Feet Firebox Volume: 2.15 d. Firewood Length: 22” (side to side), 16” (front to back) e. Freestanding Clearance to Combustibles: 16” (Corner)* - 23” (rear) – 24” (side) f. Pedestal to be included with each stove. g. Blower to be included with each stove. h. Flue Size: 6” i. Hearth Pad Size: 50” W x 54” D 34”W x 48”D j. Heat Capacity: 1500-2600 sq. ft. D. Prospective Contractor shall purchase and install two (2) Buck Stoves, Model 21 in cabins 8 and cabin 9. 1. Specifications for the Buck Stove 21 are: a. Stove Dimensions: 20-1/4” H x 22” W x 18-1/8” D b. Stove Weight: 317 lbs. c. Cubic Feet Firebox Volume: 1.6 d. Firewood Length: 11” front to back e. Pedestal to be included with each stove. f. Blower to be included with each stove. g. Flue Size: 6” h. Hearth Pad Size: 33” W x 40” D i. Heat Capacity: 800 – 1,800 square feet E. Prospective contractor shall provide the following for each cabin: 1. Cabin 1 a. Prospective contractor shall reline cabin 1 using 304 stainless steel, 6” round flex pipes. b. Prospective contractor shall remove dangerous levels of creosote and soot from the inside of the unlined chimney structures via chemical treatment prior to installing a new wood stove insert and liner. c. Prospective contractor shall install Buck Stove Model 74. d. Prospective contractor shall insulate cabin 1 with foil faced, ceramic wool blankets directly connected to the Buck Stove. e. Prospective contractor shall add a new chimney cap. f. Prospective contractor shall waterproof the chimney including the tuck point, flashing repair and water repellant. g. Prospective contractor shall apply chimney saver weatherproofing to all exterior surfaces of the chimney. h. Cabin 1 originally had a cook stove on the kitchen side of the chimney. Prospective contractor shall be responsible to ensure the hole is patched to meet code. 2. Cabin 6 a. Prospective contractor shall reline cabin 6 using 304 stainless steel, 6” round flex pipes. b. Prospective contractor shall remove dangerous levels of creosote and soot from the inside of the unlined chimney structures via chemical treatment prior to installing a new wood stove insert and liner. c.
