Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The selected Professional Service firms will generally perform the following functions: • Ensure that FBISD utilizes best practices to create a functional design for projects include in the 2023 Bond Program • Collaborate with FBISD’s project awarded A/E firms and any other FBISD consultants • Create reports (i.e., observation reports, project status) for awarded projects consistent with consultants’ scope of work • Meet with FBISD departmental staff and finalize all program requirements • Verify existing site conditions and availability of utilities through exhaustive survey of property and governing authorities (if applicable to vendors scope of work) • Coordinate with all FBISD professional service providers for assigned projects • Prepare Drawings & Specifications for permitting & bidding purposes, utilizing FBISD Design Guidelines and Construction Standards (if applicable to vendors scope of work) • Assist with and provide expertise during the design, construction and bidding process with the guidance of FBISD staff. • Provide construction administration services as it pertains to vendors scope of work • Perform project management as it pertains to the consultant’s scope of work • Provide comprehensive review of all close-out documentation related to vendors scope of work per project and FBISD standards • Other requirements as determined by FBISD and its agents 2. The District is interested in professional firms who have the following criteria and experience: • Firms licensed in the State of Texas with superior experience, training, and Qualification, and meeting all requirements of this RFQ. All qualified firms or persons shall have current licenses as required under the State of Texas for the provision of services requested by the District • Firm who has five (5) or more years of related experience providing consulting services • Five (5) or more years of experience working with public school districts, municipals and regulatory entities • Firms who have consulting experience in the following: o New construction o Renovation o Adaptive reuse of facilities o Interfacing new construction with existing structures • Firms must be available to come to the District on a routine basis • Firms who have formed a strong, responsible consulting team • Firms who have demonstrated expertise in: o Ability to plan and execute work effectively, meet deadlines, interact with District staff, parent and community members and Board of Trustees • Firms must be able to complete, and submit with the RFQ, the applicable forms contained in the solicitation i.e., when a special license or permit is required by Federal, State or Local Law or ordinance, responder must have that license prior to submission of the RFQ and must furnish evidence of such with the RFQ • Firms must be responsive to the solicitation and FBISD must be able to determine that the responding firms are responsible and have the resources and capacity to perform the resulting contract satisfactorily and is the most highly qualified • Responsive submittals are those that comply with all material aspects of the solicitation, conform to solicitation documents, and meet the requirements set forth in this solicitation. Submittals which do not comply with all of the terms and conditions of this solicitation will be rejected as non-responsive
