Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Health(“DOH”), Family Health Services Division (“FHSD”), Maternal and Child Health Branch(“MCHB”), Family Strengthening and Violence Prevention Unit (“FSVPU”) is conducting a Request for Information ("RFI") for the development of service specifications for the provision of STATEWIDE family strengthening, parent education, and parent support services to families including those most impacted by Maui wild fires, such as Pacific Islanders, Native Hawaiians, and other vulnerable community populations. Service delivery options may include, telephone, texting, written materials, newsletters, a website, webinars, app and social media. The contract term will be from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025. These services shall contain a cultural perspective to accommodate language, traditions, and/or values of different racial and ethnic groups. The FSVPU specifically seeks comments and feedback on: Family strengthening, parent education, child abuse and neglect prevention, cultural awareness, domestic and sexual violence prevention and parent support services – who or what is not being reached? How can we reach them? Are we being inclusive? Needs- Building relationships with national supports available to integrate best practices and support as applicable for families in Hawaii from a cultural and economic perspective.
