Specifications include, but are not limited to: Scope may include miscellaneous soils and materials testing services such as sampling,laboratory and field tests and analyses, preparation of reports, etc. The technical servicesrequested include providing material technicians who will perform quality assurance (QA) and independent assurance (IA) testing of construction materials in the laboratory and/or field. These efforts may include at times special inspections needed to independently support various types of construction and construction materials such as, but not limited to, soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, structural steel, sprayed fire-resistant materials, and foundations. Otherwise,standard construction inspection efforts are expressly excluded
