Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Contractor shall have on hand, and readily accessible, sufficiently staffed crews, vehicles, equipment, apparatus and materials to perform all work necessary to safely maintain and repair all the traffic management system sites within the District, including but not limited to, all traffic signals, emergency/flasher signals, intelligent transportation systems (“ITS”) and traffic management equipment listed in Section 4. All work, equipment, materials and procedures are to meet or exceed the most recent Federal Highway Administration (“FHWA”), Florida Department of Transportation (“FDOT”), District and applicable standards and requirements. The District may add or delete traffic management system sites respectively to or from this contract over time. 2.2 Contractor shall, at all times, maintain a crew of trained, qualified traffic signal maintenance employees sufficient to perform the work required and described herein. The crew of qualified employees shall be capable of responding to emergency calls from the District and to promptly make temporary and/or permanent repairs. Contractor shall have at least three (3) consecutive years of experience in traffic signal maintenance and own the equipment to make the necessary repairs. Contractor shall provide a traffic signal maintenance technician with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in traffic signal repairs and has a minimum of IMSA Level II Field and FDOT Intermediate Temporary Traffic Control certifications during the entire term of the contract. Contractor shall have technicians trained and certified to work with standard District equipment as listed in Section 4. Contractor shall provide a staffing plan for coverage including technicians and key staff that are to work on District equipment and services. Contractor must notify the District of any changes to the staffing plan.
