Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1. Contractor shall have a storefront business located in the Tucson Metropolitan area. 4.1.2. Contractor shall provide and deliver new air conditioning and heating units ranging from 3.0 to 10.0 tons on an as needed basis. 4.1.3. All equipment bid to County must be “or equivalent” to Group 1: Ruud/Rheem, Group 2: Carrier, Group 3: Goodman/Daikin, or Group 4: York. Brand names are intended to show a level of quality, equivalent performance, dimensional specifications, and are for reference only. Specification/Technical brochures for the brand(s) of items being bid must be submitted with bid response (Universal Serial Bus (USB) flash drive). 4.1.4. Contractor will provide units with the following minimum specifications for 3, 4, 5, 7.5, and 10-ton units: • 208/230v single and three phase. • 460v three phase. • All units will use modern approved HFC refrigerant, for example R-410A or R134A. New units with updated refrigerants are allowable as they become available, and County approves their use. • Major components consisting of air handlers, condensers, cased coils, and furnaces. • Curb adapters will be required and will be priced as separate items. 4.1.5 All units shall meet the minimum 2023 M1 regional standards for efficiency: 4.1.5.1. Split System Air Conditioners: < 45k BTU: 14.3 SEER2 | 11.7* EER2 (Equivalent to 15 SEER and 12.2 EER) ≥ 45k BTU: 13.8 SEER2 | 11.2* EER2 (Equivalent to 14.5 SEER and 11.7 EER). 4.1.5.2. Split System Heat Pumps: 14.3 SEER2 | 7.5 HSPF2 (Equivalent to 15 SEER and 8.8 HSPF). 4.1.5.3. Single Packaged Air Conditioners: 13.4 SEER2 | 10.6 EER2 (Equivalent to 14 SEER and 11 EER). 4.1.5.4. Single Packaged Heat Pumps: 13.4 SEER2 | 6.7 HSPF2 (Equivalent to 14 SEER and 8 HSPF). 4.1.5.5. All gas heating equipment shall have a minimum 81% AFUE rating. 4.1.6. Units required may be package, split, or ductless. Contractor shall provide curb adapters of various configurations as requested by County. All cooling equipment must use scroll compressors. All equipment shall be provided with hail protection.
