Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Louisville Procurement Services, on behalf of the Physical Plant Department, (PPD) is requesting bids from a qualified contractor for a Two-Phase Tunnel Top Replacement and Structural Repair project. Phase one shall be completed between November 2023 and end of February 2024. The intent of Phase One of construction is to replace the sections of chilled water supply and return in the tunnel below Eastern Parkway while repairing accessible areas for concrete repair along the West Wall. Steam and chilled water shutdowns to be coordinated with and approved by university personnel prior to occurring. Phase Two construction shall take place in Summer of 2024 in coordination with the University of Louisville’s seasonal shutdown. The intent of Phase Two construction is to replace a portion of the Concrete Tunnel Lid under Eastern Parkway while replacing sections of steam piping systems to allow access to the remainder of concrete repairs.
