Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contractor shall understand and agree that because the contractor was encouraged to inspect the locations and the conditions that existed prior to award of the contract, the contractor shall not be relieved of the performance of the provisions and requirements specified herein.; Unless otherwise specified herein, the contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, and other materials necessary to perform the services required herein.; The contractor shall notify the Forester or the Forester representative of any changes in labor arrangements.; The contractor shall agree that children or juveniles will not be allowed to accompany the contractor’s employees on the job site.; The contractor must provide water needed to mix herbicide(s).; The contractor will remove all papers, cans, bottles, and other refuse generated by the contractor from the area each day. The contractor shall not dump or dispose of any oil, hydraulic fluid, other petroleum products or litter on the Department’s property.; The project area is accessible by existing roads, trails and logging roads. If vehicles, ATVs, or UTVs are used on trails or logging roads that are not open to the general public, a Special Use Permit must be issued by the forester. Individual stands are accessible by foot.; The contractor shall carry out operations in such a manner as to cause the least damage to the habitat in the vicinity. The Forester may terminate the operation temporarily, if the operation is detrimental to the land or it is determined to be in the best interest of the Department.; The contractor shall take immediate and independent action to prevent and suppress fires caused by the contractor in or near the work area.; The contractor shall protect from damage all timber not designated for treatment.; The contractor shall not construct any trails without the consent of the Department’s Forester.; The contractor shall not cut or damage any trees or markers designating the property boundaries.
