Specifications include, but are not limited to: In all cases where the MOA court has ordered a defendant to Pretrial Services (PED), the contractor will be required to follow the court ordered conditions of release. This may include installing electronic monitoring devices, testing breath, urine or saliva for the presumptive presence of controlled substances and/or alcohol and also conducting intakes to include providing instruction on equipment operation, schedules and reporting requirements to the contractor. The contractor is also responsible for ensuring the defendant is notified of the next scheduled court hearing/appearance. The contractor shall be responsible for keeping detailed records of each defendant supervised, respond to possible violations of the conditions set by the court, as well as be available to the court for testimony. The contractor shall also be responsible for monitoring the defendants 24 hours a day and will be available to take law enforcement calls after normal business hours. The caseload of MOA defendants is projected to be approximately 250 – 300.
