Specifications include, but are not limited to: make upgrades to the heating and ventilation systems at City Hall to improve their performance and resilience by addressing deferred maintenance items, bringing the systems up to current codes and standards, improving equipment controls, and generally modernizing the heating and ventilation systems. Work will include new equipment such as boilers, pumps, air handlers, and fans; new heating piping and duct work; new alarm system; new controls to operate all equipment on site and remotely. The work will require modifications to existing building elements such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs. Associated demolition includes removal of impacted hazardous materials. The upgrades will have the added benefit of making mechanical spaces more organized and accessible to facilitate equipment operation and maintenance.
