Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Consultant shall perform background checks and provide web-based online reporting (no paper copies) to the Cedar Rapids Police Department and the requesting landlord within 48 hours from the time of the request. 2.2 Consultant shall perform background checks, to include the following searches at a minimum: • 50 State criminal background check – felonies and misdemeanors • National Sex Offender Registry • Terrorist database check 2.3 The Consultant shall perform the services listed in 2.2 and provide the results to the City of Cedar Rapids Police Department’s SAFE-CR Program. CRPD staff will then complete their portion of the background check. The combined results are then provided by the Consultant directly to the landlord. Payment shall be made by the landlord directly to the Consultant. 2.4 The selected Consultant’s contact information will be provided to landlords who desire to obtain additional services from the Consultant. The following additional services may be available to landlords with payment made directly to the Consultant: • Evictions • Lien Holdings • Bankruptcy Filings • Social Security Number Verification • Address History (seven years) • Credit Report • Rental references • Federal Court Search 2.5 The Consultant shall provide data results to the Cedar Rapids Police Department as a direct link to all data, or a compatible importable format (e.g. plain text, CSV, JSON, XML, Excel).
