Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. County Emergency Response Facilities 1. Assemble and disassemble bunking units from emergency response location(s) rooms as identified by the On-Site Coordinator at the time of request. 2. Clean bunks from emergency response location(s). a. The On-Site Coordinator will determine the on-site cleaning location(s) at the time of request if available. b. Cleaning and sanitizing agent(s) must comply with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for product(s) containing detergent and/or soap. The cleaning agent(s) must meet EPA standards for hospital-grade germicides and antimicrobial pesticides to mitigate microbiological organisms' growth and development. • EPA's approved disinfectants: • https://www.epa.gov/pesticide-registration/selected-epa-registered-disinfectants • The vendor must follow product label application for cleaning and sanitizing. • The vendor must allow the appropriate minimum or product labeled time for fabric to dry prior to re-packing. 3. Unpackage and re-package bunks for emergency response location(s) into canvas bags. 4. Return and organize all re-packed bunks to the storage room within the emergency response location(s) and coordinate with the On-Site Coordinator as required. A. Shelter Sites 1. Collect soiled or used equipment from pre-identified shelter location(s). 2. Load and transport non-used equipment in un-tampered packaging to pre-identified storage location(s). 3. Load and transport soiled equipment off-site from County pickup location(s) to specified and approved vendor staging area for cleaning, sanitizing, re-packing, palletizing or container placement of all equipment. a. Equipment that is damaged, has missing parts, or is soiled beyond cleaning must be photographed and set aside for separate packaging, in order to seal off equipment in damaged or soiled condition. The equipment must be returned to the County for review and determination of equipment use. b. Cleaning and sanitizing agent(s) must comply with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) product(s) contains detergent and/or soap. Use authorized packing material such as shrink-wrapped or similar packaging material. 5. Place cots in reusable storage containers. Each container will hold five (5) cots and five (5) mattresses. A sixth (6th) cot and a sixth (6th) mattress pad must be shrink-wrapped and placed on top of the closed container. 6. Affix a visible packing slip to each pallet or container detailing the quantity and description of equipment within each package. Attachment A - Sample Packing Slip. 7. All equipment must be securely palletized, placed in container unit(s) and organized at the final storage location(s) prior to leaving the site(s). 8. Sanitize transport vehicle(s) prior to re-loading the clean, sanitized, packaged and palletized equipment. 9. Transport, off-load, and organize all final products into identified storage location(s). 10. Pallets and containers must not be stacked. 11. Coordinate with the Emergency Management Coordinator, staff and pre-authorized persons for additional instructions as required.
