Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1) The Contractor shall provide services for the control of all pest species that have the potential to affect public health, impede operations, or damage property, including but not limited to: A) Indoor populations and invading individuals of insects, arachnids, and other arthropods; B) Outdoor populations of potentially indoor-infesting species that are within the property boundaries of the specified buildings; 2) The following services will be provided on an as-needed basis. These services will be quoted and billed separately and are not included in the cost of the annual service: A) Treatment for termites and other wood-destroying organisms (fumigation tent excluded); B) Removal of birds, bats, small mammals, rodents, and all other vertebrates; C) Treatment for bed Bugs; D) Flea control; E) Removal of stinging insects within the property boundaries of the specified buildings; 3) The Contractor shall provide a lawn maintenance program at City Hall, Waste Water Treatment, and Police Department. Exterior lawn applications shall include, but not be limited to spraying for ants, spiders, mole crickets, cinch bugs, & sod web worms. In addition to the insect control, the lawn maintenance program for Circle Park shall include the application of fertilizer, nutrients, and fungus and weed control. 4) The treatment schedule is as listed on the official bid form and should be billed quarterly unless otherwise agreed upon by both parties. 5) The first treatment for all listed properties must be within sixty (60) days of purchase order. 6) The Contractor shall, within twenty four (24) hours after receiving notice from the City, and at no additional charge to the City, re-treat previously treated areas when inspection reveals that inadequate control was obtained with the initial treatment. There is no limit to the number of call backs for re-treatment. Contractor shall provide the City a contact person's name and telephone number for normal working hours, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Answering machines are unacceptable as a point of contact. 7) The Contractor agrees to use only chemicals in and around the City premises that conform to Federal, State, and local laws and regulations. All chemicals shall be used in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and with all due precautions to prevent contamination of humans, domestic animals, and/or pets. 8) Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS) must be on file in the department’s office prior to any chemical being utilized by the Contractor on City facilities. All contractors and subcontractors performing services for the City are required and shall comply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), State and County Safety and Occupational Health Standards and any other applicable rules and regulations. Also, all contractors and subcontractors shall be held responsible for the safety of their employees and any unsafe acts or conditions that may cause injury or damage to any persons or property within and around the work site area under this contract. 9) The Contractor’s employees, while performing any service on City owned or leased property, shall wear a uniform shirt with the Contractor’s name and employee’s name or wear a picture identification (ID) in plain sight. The ID will consist of the company name, a picture which is a minimum one square inch, and the employee’s name. 10) The failure or omission of the Contractor to receive or examine any instruction or document, or any part of the specifications, or to visit the site and acquaint themselves as to the nature and location of the work, their general and local conditions, and all matters which may in any way affect performance, shall not relieve the Contractor of any obligation to perform as specified herein. The Contractor understands the intent and purpose thereof and their obligations there under and will not make any claim for, or have any right to damages resulting from any misunderstanding or misinterpretation of this agreement, or because of any lack of information.
