Specifications include, but are not limited to: MnDOT’s lighting infrastructure is aging, and the Metro District has decided to establish a formal inspection contract for older lighting systems. The goals of this project are to: 1. Complete electronic MnDOT formatted inspection tabular data table(s) and reporting form(s) 2. Provide the appropriate traffic control & mobilization to conduct a ground-level, visual inspection of existing light poles and document any changes of pre-existing structural deficiencies in the lighting units. Documentation will include digital color photos. 3. Recommend necessary maintenance action(s) that will protect the public by removing or extending the service life of the roadway lighting units. 4. Inspection of a light pole will include GPS coordinates of the pole’s location, collected at the time of the inspection, and delivered in a standard electronic GIS data format.
