Specifications include, but are not limited to: • An approximately 5,000 square foot addition to the School’s building, to be constructed off the backside of the multi-purpose room (extending northward). The School desires the new addition to include three to four classrooms, three to four breakout rooms, two single use restrooms, a vestibule, and adjoining hallway(s). Attached to this RFP is a main floor plan drawing and rough outline showing the desired location of the addition. o The School anticipates the following with respect to the new spaces: ▪ The classrooms will have doors, windows, carpeting, and cabinetry matching other classrooms in the building; electrical, TV, phone, and internet connections; and HVAC. ▪ The breakout rooms will have doors and carpeting matching other intervention rooms in the building; electrical, TV, phone, and internet connections; and HVAC. ▪ The single use restrooms will have one toilet and one sink; tile flooring matching other restrooms in the building; a door matching other single use restrooms in the building; electrical connections; and HVAC. ▪ The hallway(s) will have doors and carpeting matching other hallways in the building; electrical connections; intercom speakers; and HVAC. ▪ The vestibule will have doors, windows, and walk off mat flooring matching other vestibules in the building. ▪ Wall heights of the new areas will match existing wall heights in the building. ▪ New areas will have carbon monoxide and smoke detectors as required by code. o The School anticipates that other work and improvements will need to be done in connection with constructing the new addition, including: ▪ Relocating the transformer that is currently in the area where the proposed addition will be built; ▪ Adding new sidewalk next to and around the new addition; ▪ Adding/expanding a fire lane next to or near the new addition; ▪ Modifying parking lot to accommodate new fire lane; ▪ Relocating playground equipment/toy and swings, if necessary; ▪ Capping and/or rerouting sprinkler lines that are currently watering the grass in the area where the new addition and improvements will be built; and ▪ Remodeling/renovating the portions of the building that are adjacent to the proposed new addition so that the new addition can be constructed properly.
