Specifications include, but are not limited to: • No fewer than seven full-day classroom sessions (to be live streamed, and with the presenter’s permission, recorded for posting on the Utah Energy Code YouTube channel) • No fewer than four trainings targeting code officials • No fewer than three field trainings • No fewer than twelve ad hoc trainings, small group and individual sessions on energy code related topics No fewer than six (6) blog posts or code discussions per program year for summarizing commercial and/or residential code compliance including answers to questions received from participants. • No Fewer than six (6) online newsletters updating the construction community of upcoming training opportunities, summarizing previous trainings, and other pertinent information The Vendor will contract with local experts to develop content and provide training at these sessions. Training content will be developed in collaboration with OED and will include though not be limited to, the basic concepts of energy efficiency and conservation, guidance on current IECC residential and commercial energy code, as adopted by the state of Utah, building code compliance (e.g.,ResCheck and ComCheck), and changes from previous IECC codes to current IECC codes, as adopted by the state of Utah. Training locations and dates will be chosen to maximize the number of participants and their geographic distribution across Utah. Recorded sessions may be posted online with the speaker’s permission on utahenergycode.com and/or the OED, Rocky Mountain Power, and Dominion Energy Utah websites for public access. The Vendor will adhere to current public health guidelines, when scheduling in-person trainings. In instances where in-person trainings cannot take place, webinars will substitute in-person trainings. Educational Materials A technical expert will advise on the development of educational materials used for in-person trainings. The Vendor will develop, print, and disseminate educational materials at the classroom sessions and at least one energy code-related event. The Vendor will coordinate with the Utah Home Builders Association to provide training and promotional materials. All materials posted on social media or the utaghenergycode.com website require OED approval prior to public dissemination The Utah Office of Energy Development, Rocky Mountain Power, Dominion Energy Utah, and the U.S. Department of Energy will be acknowledged on electronic and printed materials used for the training and will be announced at each training session. The Vendor will host and maintain utahenergycode.com and the Utah Energy Code YouTube channel Vendors are encouraged to partner on a proposal in response to this RFP. Proposals submitted by a consortium should clearly describe the role of each entity, including who will function as the lead.
