Specifications include, but are not limited to: provide football equipment transportation services as specified below. This will require the supplier to provide a semitruck and trailer to transport football equipment throughout the United States and within the State of West Virginia. The selected Supplier will coordinate with WVU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (“WVU Athletics”) staff on pickup and delivery locations, dates, and times. The following is a list of requirements and should be all-inclusive in the pricing requested: Acquiring, maintaining, and wrapping a semi-truck and trailer with WVU-approved logos (see “Exhibit A: Semi-trailer truck requirements”); Trailer must be kept on-site at a WVU facility between trips, including off-season; All travel and travel-related costs including fuel, tolls, taxes, and licensing; Washing of semi-truck and trailer prior to, or in route to, each away game or event; Unwrapping the semi-truck and trailer upon termination or expiration of the contract; Maintenance, truck and trailer inspection, and any/all repairs, including tires; Provide one driver for each trip, two drivers for longer trips to FL, TX, AZ, UT and similar or longer distances or must provide two drivers for each trip; Driver must be located within 180 miles of the WVU Morgantown Campus; Supplier will be responsible for all deadhead time and mileage charges; Must be able to meet travel schedules as provided by WVU Athletics; Driver(s) must actively assist with loading and unloading of equipment at venue; Provide support in planning, routing, scheduling, and execution of game or event transportation; Coordinate with repair facilities, tire shops, rental companies, and partner trucking companies along the routes for breakdown, tire issues, rental, or emergency driver and equipment if deemed necessary; Have on standby a backup tractor, trailer, and/or driver(s); Supplier must present drivers CDL and current D.O.T. physicals, drug/alcohol screenings; Supplier must have a valid D.O.T. US # for transportation in Continental US. Supplier must abide by the current WVU D.O.T.
