Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Work of this RFP is to: plan, coordinate, and provide Co-Navigator Program services to eligible DeafBlind Oregonians. Work includes but not limited to: recruiting, hiring, training, and Certifying Co-Navigator Coordinator staff, who will coordinate and provide oversight of the work of the CoNavigator Provider staff and manage the day-to-day operations of the Co-Navigator Program; recruiting, hiring, and with the assistance of the CN Coordinator staff, training and Certify CoNavigator Provider staff, who shall provide direct Co-Navigator Program services to eligible Individuals; and other duties and responsibilities in performing the Work of this RFP. The Successful Proposer is referred to as “Contractor” once a Contract has been executed between the parties. THESUCCESSFULPROPOSERSHALL: In collaboration with ODHS, adopt an existing Co-Navigator curriculum from an established, experienced, and practice-based Co-Navigator resource to assist in training and Certifying the CN Coordinator staff and CN Provider staff, and providing them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform Co-Navigator services. The curriculum shall address all relevant subjects, including cultural linguistics, boundaries, ethics, and professional behaviors and guidance. Recruit, hire, train, and Certify qualified CN Coordinator staff to coordinate the work of the CN Provider staff and manage the day-to-day operations of the CoNavigator Program. Successful Proposer shall make and exhibit efforts to hire qualified DeafBlind individuals to work in CN Coordinator positions. With assistance from the CN Coordinator staff, recruit, hire, train, and Certify new CN Provider staff to provide direct services to qualified Individuals.
