Specifications include, but are not limited to: This software is the control automation platform for the cooling infrastructure of the University of Utah’s Downtown Data Center facility. It provides the automated control, monitoring & alerts, data trending, reporting, and manual control of the mechanical cooling components which directly impact critical support to IT services. The “Metasys” Johnson Controls software is currently required to interface with the Johnson Control brand field controllers that are built into the data center’s mechanical infrastructure. As this equipment is part of the building’s core automation system, transitioning to a new system is cost prohibitive.
