Specifications include, but are not limited to: The replacement of the existing Fire Station Alerting System and related services. The key functionality of the Alerting System is to notify certain Aviation personnel that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) Crash Line has been activated. The Crash Line notifies stakeholders of an aircraft emergency by activating the Alerting System. Aviation’s two Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Stations 19 and 29 house the Alerting System at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX, Airport) which is an essential component to PHX’s emergency preparedness and responses. An updated Alerting System and related services will improve reliability, expand functionality and reduce emergency response times at PHX. Specifically, a new Alerting System and related services will provide updated equipment and expanded coverage for visual and audio alerts, among other things, as a means for ongoing FAA regulatory compliance.
