Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 This contract is for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision required to cap +/-1.5 miles of road. No materials, labor or equipment shall be furnished by the Commission. 2.2 Contractor shall remove all extraneous materials, equipment and litter associated with the construction from the area before final payment will be awarded. 2.3 Contractor shall use every precaution necessary to prevent pollution of rivers and streams by fuel, oils, chemicals, or other harmful materials. All creeks will be kept free of Contractor-generated debris. 2.4 Any damage to existing state or county property (i.e., roads, culverts, low water crossings, fences, gates, signs, trees, or other natural resources) caused by the Contractor and not within the scope of the project work will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor shall be responsible for the conduct of hired personnel at all times while within the project area. 2.5 All construction activities shall be scheduled with the Commission’s Project Manager to ensure access to the site and to share information about hunting, logging, work projects, and other activities that may be taking place on the area. 2.6 Equipment shall be thoroughly cleaned of all vegetative debris before entering or reentering the area to reduce the spread of invasive exotic vegetation. The Commission reserves the right to inspect equipment prior to its use on the area. 2.7 Should any historical or cultural artifacts be uncovered during construction activities; the Contractor shall immediately halt construction within that area and notify the Project Manager. 2.8 Stop work clause - The Commission’s Project Manager or his/her designated representative has the right to stop work if the work is not being completed as specified. Work will not renew until the deficiency or deficiencies are corrected. 2.9 During this project and at the discretion of the Commission, partial payments can be made at the completion of each 1/10th mile or more of road capping.
