Specifications include, but are not limited to: StarGuard Elite (SGE) offers a comprehensive aquatic risk prevention program not available through other vendors, which includes lifeguard training, aquatic safety consulting, and an aquatic risk prevention system. Since Salt Lake County has 21 pools within our responsibility, it is imperative to have a thoroughly comprehensive system that is consistent at all of our pools. SGE creates water safety curricula, educational products, and provides a certification program for professionals in aquatics. Additionally, SGE collaborates with the Health and Safety Institute (HSI) to provide emergency care and response training through HSI’s American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI). StarGuard Elite provides their clients with services like having a medical director on staff and a regional client partner who is a certified instructor that can support the county’s recreation division. They provide post audit debrief and direction on standardization and training, pre-summer risk management trainings, and any additional support or meetings with aquatics administration as needed or requested. StarGuard Elite also provides a digital lifeguard portal that tracks in-service training hours, creates training reports, tracks zone certifications, rescue logs and lifeguard audit and remediations. The tracking and reporting abilities in this portal saves staff time by providing resources such as digital resource file of supplemental trainings, video recordings of conferences and the latest updates of curriculum.
