Specifications include, but are not limited to: Acreage: 1,307 acres Pricing: Bids are to be submitted on a cost per acre basis. Herbicide Rate: The tank mix will be plateau herbicide, active ingredient imazapic, will be applied at 5 oz/acre and Roundup Pro or generic brand, active ingredient glyphosate, applied at 8 oz/per acre in 6 gallons of water/acre + 1 quart non-ionic surfactant per 100 gallons of spray mix. The contractor is responsible for supplying all herbicide, surfactant, and water. GPS Technology: The aircraft must be equipped with a global positioning system that is used to establish lines for 100% coverage. UDWR will provide to the Contractor an electronic file containing coordinate positions of treatment areas in an ARC/INFO GIS format. The Contractor shall provide a Trimble, ARC/INFO or ARCVIEW electronic file in UTM projection North America Datum 1983 of treatment coverage upon completion of each treated area or as required by the Contracting Officer. A government representative shall monitor the Contractors GPS to assure Contractors compliance with contract specifications. Application Dates: Application must occur as soon as possible and no later than October 30, 2023. Contractor will work closely with the Project Manager to schedule optimal flight times. Timing: The contractor will be expected to begin spraying by 8:00 a.m. to avoid windy conditions and minimize drift. The government reserves the right to postpone the operation if wind speed exceeds 10 miles per hour. Experience: The contractor must have prior experience in aerial application of herbicides to be awarded the contract. Negative references will be grounds to deny bids.
