Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Replacement of DC-powered switch heaters and equipment with AC-powered switch heaters and any equipment, and site modifications to support the new heaters within the Rice, Minnesota, Union Depot and Downtown East interlockings on the Blue and Green Line light rail lines. • New AC electric service to the sites, any associated AC transformers and support equipment including conduit. • Replacement of select special trackwork components within the Rice, Minnesota, Union Depot and Downtown East interlockings. • PLC upgrades for Interchange Interlocking to take full advantage of the AC switch heaters and sensors installed as part of the Interchange Interlocking project in July of 2023.
