The devices should or utilize the latest OS for the device, hardware (i.e. iPhone 13 vs iPhone 12), and cellular/data technology. Devices should be supported by the manufacturer this means that the devices should be able to receive current OS and security updates. a. Refresh: Devices must be refreshed every 24 months and a minimum 20% or greater discount is required for all devices. 2 Feature Phones Wireless devices that have the ability to place voice calls (local, long distance) via cellular technology on a carrier’s telecommunication network. Devices should include Bluetooth radio communication for headsets or other accessories. a. Refresh: Devices must be refreshed every 24 months and a minimum 20% or greater discount is required for all devices. Preferred devices include push-to-talk and devices that have the ability for user to upgrade memory/storage or replace battery without sending back to manufacture. 3 Unlimited Data Mobile-to-Mobile, Nights and Weekends, Multi-media Messaging. Devices such as tablets, mobile hotspots. a. Free Long Distance: Within Alaska and to all other 49 states. b. Free Tethering/Hotspot: Device and service plan that allows for sharing the data connection with another device via usb cable, Bluetooth, or via Wi-Fi. (i.e. device becomes a hotspot) c. Rollover Minutes: Unused minutes will carry over every month. d. Unlimited Pooling: Unused minutes will be pooled continually under the contract and available for all devices and service plans. 4 End-User Support Services Point of Sale setup, assistance, and data migration; Help Desk; ALASKANOW Reporting; System Administration; System Requests; Other Support Services and reporting.
