Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to solicit and select a firm to provide professional engineering design and inspection services: Develop plans and specifications for a bridge replacement project for existing bridge structure number 406950290803001 (NBI) located in Dodge City, Kansas, spanning the Arkansas River. Bridge Replacement Project Scope: • Designed and Load Rated using AASHTO LRFD Specifications • Constructed at a grade to span levees similar to the SB 14th Avenue structure • Hydraulically sized to meet a “No-Rise” condition • Investigated for scour condiitons at the piers and abutments at the 100-year event • Widened to include shoulders and a shared-use path across the structure • Include designed lighting to light both NB and SB roadways across the river • Include designed pedestrian lighting to light the shared-use path • Relocate the existing Waterline utility currently attached to the structure • Survey • Right-of-Way • Geology & Geotech Investigation (Subsurface, Temporary Shoring, Pavement Recommendations) • Utility Coordination • Traffic Engineering • Public Involvement/Public Engagement
