Specifications include, but are not limited to: The treatment plant was designed by S.E.A. Consultants, Inc. and constructed in the late 1970’s by MurrayWalter (see Site Plan, Attachment A). The average flow through the plant is 6.25 million gallons per day (MGD) with generally higher flows in the spring and lower flows during the winter months. The design flow is 11.5 MGD and max design flow is 36 MGD. The clarifiers each have a center assembly that supports a catwalk, skimmer arm assembly, squeegee assembly, and drive unit (see Attachments B, Dorr-Oliver drawings). The parts to do these retrofits to the drive and center assemblies have been specified by Ovivo, the owner of Dorr-Oliver and sole provider of such parts, and already purchased by the WRBP. The original construction drawings of each clarifier are included as Attachment C (Structural) and D (Equipment Detail). The Ovivo parts proposal is attached as Attachment E and is the materials basis for the Scope of Services in this RFP. It is the responsibility of the proposing firm to make all due diligence inquiries to fully understand the scope of parts supply and the installation of that scope of supply. If it is determined upon inspection that parts not included in the scope of supply specified by the equipment manufacturer require replacement, a separate price negotiation will commence and, if the contingency included in the contract is insufficient, the contract will be amended to reflect the required additional parts and labor. Such additional work will not proceed until authorized by the WRBP.
