The CNC Mill and CNC Lathe from HAAS must be able to interface with existing HAAS equipment and programming. For training purposes, students will be running machinery and programming part runs. The majority of all existing equipment in the machine shop is HAAS equipment. To simplify training purposes and eliminate catastrophic equipment crashes, it is necessary to duplicate equipment so that program interfaces sync across multiple equipment. Duplication of existing machinery also helps the instructor and student so that they are not teaching and learning multiple control systems simultaneously.
