Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of Architectural Services will be identified on a project-by-project basis and will vary depending on project needs. A project scope may include, but is not limited to, new buildings as well as remodeling, renovation, maintenance, and repair of existing facilities. Additionally, the Architect may be requested to provide studies, facility assessments, programming, and cost estimates. Incidental project engineering services may be required for construction projects including, but not limited to electrical power, HVAC, plumbing, security, fire sprinklers, alarm systems, data, telephone services, emergency power and energy management as well as considerations for energy conservation and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility. All services shall be performed pursuant to applicable law, rule, or regulation and pursuant to applicable policy of the School District. The School Board reserves the right to add or delete, at any time, any or all tasks or services. 1. The firm(s) selected under this continuing contract will be responsible for assigned projects each having estimated construction cost or study activity costs not exceeding $4 million and $500,000, respectively. 2. It is anticipated that School Board will award contracts through this solicitation to at least three of the most highly ranked firms. The School Board reserves the sole right to select more or less than three Architectural Firms as it deems necessary. 3. This will be a multiple award contract for an initial period of one year with an option to renew for three additional one-year periods. The total term of the agreement (including all renewals) shall not exceed four (4) years. 4. Selected firms will be required to adhere to guidelines and code as set forth by Florida Building Code, Florida State Requirements for Educational Facilities, and Design Standards for assigned projects (unless otherwise instructed by MCSD). 5. The selected firms will be required to work under the direction of the Maintenance and Construction Departments and the District’s Building Official. The School District is self-permitting.
