Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. The project is to repair the damaged asphalt identified in Appendix D. Each area has been selected as failing due to the cracking or settling of the asphalt. B. The preferred method of fixing the pavement in Areas 1-5 in Appendix D shall be to perform mill and overlay procedures unless otherwise noted. C. Stormwater Manhole 1, shown in Appendix D, shall require a proposal repair plan. When the repairs are completed the new elevation of the manhole lid must be the same elevation as the surrounding pavement to create a smooth transitional driving surface. D. Curb Area Repairs 1-9, shown in Appendix D, shall require a proposal repair plan for each area that has been identified. E. Curb Areas 5 and 6 currently have a pea gravel concrete mixture. Please include material in your proposal for these areas that does not require weed trimming. F. If at any time any roadway markings are affected by the roadway repairs, it will be the responsibility of the selected respondent to replace any removed markings. The cost of such replacement shall be incidental to Area repairs. G. It is important to note that the flow of traffic must be maintained. One lane of traffic can be shut down for work, but there must always be a way for traffic to flow around the work Area. A traffic control plan must be submitted as part of the submittal package. H. The traffic control plan shall include flashing lights on vehicles, construction barrels and construction signage. I. Areas 3 and 4 shall be performed between the hours of 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM. J. There will be no demolition and leaving the Area unfinished. Once an Area is shut down the work must be completed, and the Area reopened to traffic before the crews can move to a different Area of work.
