Specifications include, but are not limited to: potholing or excavating of existing utilities to determine horizontal location, size, vertical depth, material, or other details as specified by the City’s Project Manager. It will be the responsibility of the Contractor to expose the utility and provide the requested information to the City’s Project Manager. Once the information is collected the Contractor will be responsible for backfill, compaction, prep work, seeding, pavement restoration or keyhole core restoration. Unless otherwise approved by the City’s Project Manager, the Contractor shall re-establish the existing surface within 48 hours after collection of information. The Contractor will be responsible for always securing and protecting open excavations.
