Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall examine existing metal roof for structural defects, do any cleaning necessary, and make any necessary repairs prior to application. Seamless Fluid Applied Roofing System: Apply biodegradable cleaner and power wash the existing raised, rib, metal roof to remove any dirt, debris and loose materials. Apply a rust inhibiting primer to entire roof. Spray all horizontal & vertical seams and around penetrations with liquid applied fiber seal product at the minimum rate of sixty (60) wet mills. All screws/fasteners shall be tightened or replaced and sealed with liquid applied fiber seal product. Apply at a rate of 1.75 gallons per square foot (minimum of 28 wet mills) fiber reinforced polyurethane modified acrylic base coat. ProCoat Base Product to be white in color and have an 85% minimum reflectivity. Apply at a rate of two (2) gallons per square foot (minimum of 32 wet mills) of fast curing polyurethane acrylic topcoat to create a seamless, watertight membrane. ProCoat Topcoat Provide 20-year warranty on Labor & Materials associated with a fluid applied roofing system containing fiber. Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, materials, and any necessary incidentals to prepare, install, and warranty work provided. KYTC will provide a source of water to Contractor nearby to project to facilitate work bid. Site visit and access will be permitted, given 24 hours’ notice prior to visit by KYTC.
