Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Town is seeking a Provider to provide recyclables processing services; to receive and process recyclable waste that is generated within the Town, on a per ton basis. The successful Provider shall provide a state licensed recycling facility having sufficient labor, materials, equipment and capacity to receive, sort, and market single stream recyclable waste from the Town for the next 3 years. Residents and businesses in Town generated 1,786 tons of recyclable waste in 2021 and 2,130 tons in 2022. The Provider should expect that the Town will generate and need to dispose of a similar amount for each of the next 3 years, subject to the influences of growth, recycling activity, economy, and weather. The Town is a beach community with a census population of 16,200 yearround that grows to approximately 30,000 residents during the summer and over 100,000 visitors during certain summer major holidays, weather depending. This procurement is for recyclables processing services only. The hauling of recyclable waste to the processing facility is NOT included in this procurement. The Town will provide for the delivery of recyclable waste to the successful Provider’s processing facility by others through a separate contract. The Provider must be able to start receiving recyclable waste from the Town on January 1, 2024. The Provider must have sufficient capacity to process recyclable waste generated from the Town. Interested Providers are asked to submit a per ton rate for receiving recyclable waste at the facility.
