Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) delivered must be a minimum of 15% available chlorine. The Town reserves the right to reject any delivery of solution under 15% available chlorine. The Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) delivered must have a specific gravity of 1.21 at 60○F. 2. Tainted hypochlorite will not be accepted. An analysis indicating the percentage of chlorine shall accompany each delivery. 3. The DPW Director or designee reserves the right to perform inspections of the product at the time of delivery to ascertain the Vendor’s compliance with the product specifications requirements. 4. Any product deficiencies identified by the DPW Director or designee shall be corrected at the expense of the Vendor. The vendor will be notified by the DPW Director or designee and be given five (5) working days to replace the defective product, and unreasonable delay in replacing the product, or failure of the vendor to replace defective product, may be grounds for termination of the Vendor. The Town shall withhold any amount necessary for the correction of defective product from payments due to the Vendor. 5. The Sodium Hypochlorite (NaOCl) must be delivered in increments of 2,500 to 5,000 gallons per shipment and delivered within three (3) days of notification; an annual amount of approximately 50,000 gallons will be used. The Town reserves the right to increase or decrease such estimated quantities as necessitated by field conditions and budget considerations.
